UAVs are more and more widely used in military and civilian applications. In order to make UAVs play a better role, it is necessary to use multi-UAV formation flight control to achieve tasks such as coordinated reconnaissance,drone support combat, defense, and pesticide spraying.
The multi-UAV cooperative formation control technology mainly includes information perception technology, data fusion technology, task allocation technology, track planning technology, formation control technology, communication networking technology and virtual/physical verification experiment platform technology.
Firstly, the current status and progress of related technologies of multi-UAV formation at home and abroad are reviewed, and then the control method of multi-UAV formation is analyzed, and the problems of formation design, formation adjustment and formation reconstruction are summarized. Finally, the opportunities and challenges faced by the multi-UAV cooperative formation are prospected.
